About Instagram (No Crop)

This tool adds space around your photo so it becomes a square without cutting off any part of the image. Pick a white background, a mirrored edge, or a duplicated-pixel edge, and the page builds all three for you. Everything runs in your browser, so your photo is never uploaded.

Instagram resizes or crops any photo that does not match its own dimensions. Match one of these sizes and your upload stays exactly as you made it.

Want several posts from one photo instead of one square? Use the Instagram grid maker to split it into a 3, 6, or 9-tile grid.

The tool reads your photo's longer side, then builds a square canvas at that size. This is plain canvas pixel work, not AI, and no part of your photo gets removed. Three fill options control the new space:

Because the square matches your photo's own larger side, a 4000px-wide photo becomes a 4000 x 4000 square, not a fixed 1080 x 1080 file. Resize it afterward for an exact Instagram pixel count.

Instagram displays profile photos in a circle, so a rectangular photo often loses its corners. Run it through this tool first to pad it into a square. The circle then lands on empty space, not on the part you want to keep. For a circular preview, try the circle crop tool.
